Middlebury College men's basketball player Max Bosco (Scarsdale, N.Y.) has been named a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) First-Team Academic All-District selection by the organization.
Bosco boasts a 3.57 grade point average and is an economics major. The junior is second on the team and 10th in the NESCAC with 15.0 points/game this season. He leads the Panthers and is fourth in the conference by converting 87-100 free throws this winter. Bosco scored a career-high 26 points on February 14 in an 86-74 win over Tufts.
Bosco will now be placed on a national ballot with the Academic All-American team slated to be released on March 10. Just five members are named to each All-District team, with Middlebury's District II consisting of schools from nine different states.
He and his teammates visit Trinity for a NESCAC Quarterfinal game on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. The 14th-ranked Panthers current boast a record of 20-4.
