Middlebury is back in action on Friday when it travels to Trinity for a 7:00 p.m. start, while Williams heads to Connecticut College on the same day.

    MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The #5 Middlebury men’s basketball team fell 89-82 to visiting #12 Colby on Friday evening in Pepin Gymnasium. The loss was just the second for the Panthers (15-2, 1-2), while the Mules improve to 14-0 with an unblemished 3-0 NESCAC mark. Middlebury is back in action on Saturday when it hosts Bowdoin at 3:00 p.m., while Colby heads to Williams.

    Middlebury powered its way to a 91-80 victory over Colby-Sawyer in the Hampton Inn/West Springfield Naismith Classic on Friday afternoon in Springfield College’s Blake Arena. The fourth-ranked Panthers improved to 11-0 on the season and will face Springfield at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in the title game. Colby-Sawyer slipped to 5-4 and will take on Bridgewater State in the consolation contest at 1:00 p.m.
  • Balanced Scoring Keys #4 Middlebury In Win Over Mustangs

    Five Panthers scored in double figures, as the fourth-ranked Middlebury men’s basketball team pulled away from visiting Morrisville State for a 72-55 victory on Monday. The Panthers (10-0) return to action on January 3, facing Colby-Sawyer in the opening round of the Hampton Inn West Springfield/Naismith Classic hosted by Springfield, while the Mustangs (3-6) are idle until January 9 with a road contest at SUNY-Delhi.

  • 2019-20 Men's Basketball Season Preview

    Much like previous seasons, the 2019-20 version of the Middlebury men’s basketball team is a talented group, laden with depth at every position. Over the past 12 seasons, the program has accumulated 265 victories against just 72 losses for a .786 winning percentage with three appearances in the NCAA Quarterfinals. With the loss of just two seniors from last year’s team, the squad has its eyes on contending for its third NESCAC Championship in the last five seasons and another deep NCAA Tournament run.
