Middlebury won a shootout in New Hampshire on Sunday as the Panthers came away with a 96-85 win over Colby-Sawyer.
Colby-Sawyer jumped out to an early lead over the Panthers to start the game, going ahead 7-2 just three minutes into the contest, but Middlebury would fire back, recapturing the lead at the 14:35 mark, 10-9. From there on, Middlebury never relinquished the lead, going into halftime with a 12 point lead, 41-29.
In the second half, the Panthers added to their lead, going ahead by as many as 19 points (57-38) with 15:42 remaining in the game.
The Chargers could get no closer than 11 as Middlebury closed the door, picking up the 11 point victory.
Andrew Harris poured in a game high 28 points for the Panthers, while Evan Thompson scored 17 in the win. Tim Edwards and Wil Hyatt added 13 points apiece.
