The Panthers dropped their second straight game as the men's basketball team fell 80-63 at Tufts in NESCAC play. Middlebury shot just 28 percent from the floor, with Tufts holding a 57-44 advantage on the boards.
The Jumbos went on a 9-0 run early in the first half to take an 18-8 lead with 14:35 left to play. The Panthers made a few runs and cut the lead to 41-37 at the half.
Tufts opened the second half with a 9-3 run to take a 52-40 lead with 14:45 left in the contest. Middlebury came within 10 twice, but that's as close as they'd get.
Andrew Harris led Middlebury with 20 points on 7-14 shooting from the floor. Dan Martin paced Tufts with 17 points on the afternoon.
