Middlebury hung with the #1 team in the country for a solid 30 minutes, but it wasn't enough as Amherst pulled away with a 91-67 win in Vermont. The Panthers cut the lead to three with 11:50 remaining in the second half, but that's as close as they would come. The Jeffs held Middlebury scoreless for a 3:50 span later in the half as they increased their lead to 17 on the way to the win. David Coratti led the Panthers with 14 points on six of seven shooting, while Clark Read added a dozen.
