Copeland is now in her 11th season in 2019-20 as the assistant alpine skiing coach. The 2006 graduate of St. Lawrence University joined the staff after working as an assistant at her alma mater.

In her 10 seasons at Middlebury, she has helped guide the men’s slalom team to NCAA crowns in 2012, 2013 and 2015. She also helped coach Rob Cone '17, the 2015 NCAA Alpine national champion, at the NCAA Championship in Lake Placid, New York.

Following the eastern circuit in 2013, she was named the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) Coach of the Year. Copeland has been recognized by her colleagues for not only her coaching abilities, but her willingness to go the extra mile during the carnival season. She makes extra efforts with setting courses for EISA carnivals and FIS events, while also performing referee and other officials duties on a regular basis.

While working at St. Lawrence, Copeland excelled in numerous responsibilities, including budget management, working with admissions, organizing team practices and mentoring student-athletes and their academic commitments. As a two-sport varsity athlete, Copeland has first-hand experience that enables her to be direct and effective in her communication with student-athletes.

After earning her degree in Fine Arts in 2006, Copeland completed her master’s in education in May of 2009. She competed on both the field hockey and ski teams during her four years as an undergraduate and received numerous awards for her athletic accomplishments.
