The Middlebury College ski team placed third overall at the 2012 Williams College Carnival. Dartmouth won the event (869), followed by UVM (840), Middlebury (690) and UNH (634). The men's GS team placed three in the top seven to win the event overall.
Andrew McNealus picked up a win the GS event for the Middlebury men, winning the race with a time of 1:45.34. Finishing in fifth place was Nick Bailey in 1:45.90, followed closely by Hig Roberts in seventh (1:46.03). Roberts paced the pack in the slalom, earning a top 10 finish in sixth place with a time of 1:30.14. Bryan Shpall came in 13th place (1:31.74) for Middlebury, followed by Liam Mulhern in 15th (1:32.19).
On the women's side, Christine Schozer led the squad in the slalom event, coming in 13th overall with a time of 1:39.24. Placing 29th was Mary Sackbauer in 1:44.53, followed by Yina Moe-Lange in 37th (1:46.56). In the GS event, Moe-Lange led a tight group of Panther finishers, placing 25th with a time of 1:53.33. Sackbauer was next in 27th (1:54.57), followed by Schozer in 28th (1:54.63).
Only one race took place for the nordic teams, with the classic relay event cancelled. The men performed well in the 10K classical event, placing third overall. Benjamin Lustgarten and Patrick Johnson led the group, finishing the race in fifth (27:24) and sixth (27:27) places respectively. Rounding out the scorers was Chase Marston, who finished 11th overall with a time of 27:53.
Sophie McClelland paced the women in their 10K classic race, finishing 17th overall in 33:13. Emily Attwood finished the event in 22nd place (33:35), followed by Annie Pokorny in 24th (33:55).
