Men’s Golfers Compete at Williams Fall Invitational

The Middlebury men's golf team placed seventh out of 20 teams competing at the Williams Fall Invitational Tournament. The hosts won the event with a red-hot 588, followed by Husson (605) and Trinity (607), while the Panthers shot a 618. Action was contested at the Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Massachusetts.   

  • Senior Reid Buzby (San Francisco, Calif.) and junior David Packer (Greenwood Village, Colo.) led the Panthers at the event, both tying for 16th place overall. Buzby carded a 76 and 77, while Packer turned in a 79 and 74 for matching 153s.
  • Rookie Phin Choukas (Hanover, N.H.) shot a pair of 78s for a 156, while just one stroke behind was sophomore Jordan Bessalel (Bethesda, Md.), who shaved five strokes off his day one score for a 157 (81-76).
