Trio of Panther Women’s Squash Players Compete in CSA Individual Championships

Middlebury women's squash seniors Beatrijs Kuijpers (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Alexa Comai (Haverford, Pa.), along with rookie Ideal Dowling (New York, N.Y.) each participated in the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships this weekend at the Nicol Squash Club in Providence, Rhode Island. Kuijpers went 1-1 and Comai was 1-2 in the Holleran Cup North bracket, while Dowling lost twice during Holleran Cup East play.   

  • Kuijpers picked up an opening-round victory with a three-game win, before falling in the quarterfinals in three games. She concludes her season with a 10-10 record.
  • Comai dropped her opening match in three games, but rebounded for a four-game triumph in the consolation quarterfinals. On Saturday, she fell in five games to end her winter with a 13-9 record.
  • Dowling was defeated in three games during her first match, before losing in four games during the consolation draw to conclude her campaign with a 9-12 mark.
