Women’s Squash Finishes Third at NESCAC Championship

The 14th-ranked Panther women’s squash team recorded a 2-1 weekend and finished in third place during the NESCAC Tournament last weekend. After receiving a bye through the first round, third-seeded Middlebury recorded a narrow 5-4 win in the quarterfinals over sixth-seeded Bates, before falling to second-seeded Williams, 6-3. The Panthers rebounded Sunday for a 9-0 victory in the third-place match over fourth-seeded Amherst. 

  • Three Panthers posted 3-0 records over the weekend. Rookie Gwen Davis (Rydal, Pa.) earned victories in the seventh position, junior Natasha Lowitt (New York, N.Y.) went undefeated at No. 8, while classmate Mira Chugh (New Canaan, Conn.) was unbeaten at the bottom of the ladder.
