A pair of school records fell on Friday as the Panther track & field teams competed in the non-scoring Fastrack National Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York. The meet featured athletes from all three NCAA divisions and international running clubs.

  • On the men’s side, senior Minhaj Rahman (Woodhaven, N.Y.) continued his record-breaking winter, winning the weight throw for the fifth-straight week with a school-record toss of 61'1.5". The distance breaks his own school record of 60'2" which he set during the Tufts Cupid Challenge.
  • For the women, rookie Cady Barns (Manilus, N.Y.) claimed the triple jump by 3'3.5" with a school-record effort of 42'11.5". That mark eclipses the previous record of 36'9.5" by Kelley Coughlan in 2009.
