Men's Golf Opens Season at Williams Fall Invitational

The Middlebury men's golf team opened up its fall season at the two-day Williams Fall Invitational. The Panthers shot a two-day total of 630 (314-316) to finish in 12th place among 20 teams. Trinity won the event at the Taconic Golf Course with a 601, followed by host Williams (605).

Sophomore Joe Ko (North Hills, Calif.) led a tight pack of Panthers at the event, finishing in a tie for 27th-place with a two-day total of 156, including a 75 on day two. Junior Graham Kenter (Winnetka, Ill.) was one stroke behind with a 157 (78-79) to tie for 31st place. Next for Middlebury was junior Rodrigo Andrade (Guatemala City, Guatemala), who was a stroke back with a 158 (74-84), good for a 38th-place tie.

Rounding out the tight pack was sophomore Bennett Doherty (Bedford, N.H.), who shot rounds of 81 and 78 to finish with a 159, placing him in a tie for 45th place. Junior Eduardo Ramos (Sao Paulo, Brazil) rounded out the Panthers with a 179 (91-88) for the weekend.
