Fulton joined the staff in November of 2015 and enters his fifth year in 2019-20, coming to Middlebury from The College of New Jersey, where he served as the Assistant Sports Information Director for 10 years.
At TCNJ, Fulton aided in the promotion of the institution’s 20 NCAA Division III programs. During that time, TCNJ hosted more than 50 NCAA Championship events and Fulton was also the primary contact for three teams that won NCAA Division III titles.
As the Athletics Communications and Athletics Assistant, he assists in the handling of publicity for Middlebury’s 31 varsity NCAA athletic teams. Fulton helps in the management of all media requests, while also maintaining the day-to-day operations of the office as well as the athletic department’s PrestoSports website.
Additionally, he handles all of the administrative work for the College's Physical Education Department. Fulton is also responsible for compliance reports and the department’s all-inclusive team rosters.
He was previously the Sports Information Director at the State University of New York at Oswego from 2000 to 2005.
A native of Marcellus, New York, and a 1991 graduate of Utica College, Fulton earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with a minor in history. He began his professional career as a sports writer at The Valley News in Fulton, New York, and The Palladium-Times in Oswego, New York, before entering the athletic communications field.
He is an active member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA).
