COMPLETE NESCAC RELEASE

Two Middlebury College volleyball players were honored when the league announced its All-NESCAC recipients. Seniors Isabel Sessions (Chicago, Ill.) and Sarah Staver (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) were both First-Team All-NESCAC selections. The duo helped guide the Panthers to a 17-6 record in 2018.

Sessions collects her third-straight all-conference accolade after landing on the second team each of the last two seasons. The outside hitter led the team and was second in the league with 3.76 kills per set. Sessions recorded 10 or more kills in 17 matches this season, tying a career-best mark with 23 twice. She also posted a career-high 210 digs and averaged 2.76 digs per set, finishing the year with 11 double-doubles in kills and digs. She became just the sixth player in program history to eclipse the 1,000-kill plateau, ending up in sixth place with 1,088. Sessions concludes her career fourth all-time in the Panther record books with 3.14 kills per set.

Staver earns her second all-conference laurel after picking up a second-team nod in 2016. The middle hitter led the league and ranked eighth nationally with a .396 hitting percentage. She ranked second on the Panthers in both kills per set (3.11) and kills (258), sitting sixth and seventh among her league peers in those categories, respectively. She recorded a double-digit kill total in 12 matches this fall, including a career-best 17 in the regular-season finale against Williams. The senior also finished with a career-best 29 service aces. She became just the fifth player in program history to reach 200 block assists with 207.
