The Middlebury track and field teams turned in a host of solid performances on Saturday when the Panthers competed at the Williams Quad Meet. The event had no team scores in a meet that featured SUNY Oneonta, WPI, Middlebury and the host Ephs. The Panthers return to action next Saturday at the NESCAC Championships hosted by Trinity.
In the next event, Abigail Nadler claimed the 1,500-meter run (4:40.11), while Tate Serletti won the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:55.65). The 4x100-meter relay team of Ellie Greenberg, Cook, Kate Holly and Elizabeth Walkes won with a time of 49.86, while the 4x400-meter relay team of Gretchen McGrath, Kai Milici, Langley Dunn and Lang posted a winning time of 4:04.36.
In the men's competition, the Panthers picked up nine event wins. Nathan Hill was a double winner as an individual, claiming both the 800 (1:55.28) and the 1,500 (3:57.75). Other victories came from Nicholas Hendrix in the 200 (21.79), Jimmy Martinez during the 400 (48.76) and Tyler Farrell in the 400 hurdles (55.22). Ascencion Aispuro led the field to the finish line during the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:38.02).
The 4x100-meter relay of Jackson Bock, Michael Pallozzi, Joshua Howard and Hendrix posted a winning mark of 42.87.
Off the track, Brenden Edwards won the discus (138'11"), while Minhaj Rahman earned the hammer throw title (168'8").
