Women’s Squash Cruises Past Hamilton

The 15th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team picked up its sixth-consecutive win on Thursday, blanking Hamilton by a 9-0 tally in the Bostwick Family Squash Center. The Panthers (8-1) return to the courts Saturday at 2:30 p.m. against 10th-ranked Brown in a match played at Harvard.

In the victory over the 22nd-ranked Continentals (3-3), the Panthers didn't surrender a game. Natasha Lowitt got Middlebury on the scoreboard with a win at No. 6 (11-3, 11-3, 11-4) over Eleanor Struthers, while Maren Taylor posted an 11-4, 11-7, 11-6 victory in the ninth spot against Jean Beecher. Alexa Comai coasted past Caitlin Stern at No. 3 (11-3, 11-6, 11-4), while Gwen Davis gave Middlebury a 4-0 lead with an 11-3, 11-4, 11-1 triumph over Sydney Soloway in the fifth slot.

Victoria Villalba tallied the match-clinching fifth point with an 11-5, 11-0, 14-12 victory against Maddie Sakheim in the eighth position. Ideal Dowling recorded an 11-2, 11-0, 11-1 win at No. 2 over Megan Grip, while Mira Chugh was victorious in the seventh spot against Lindsay Jadow (11-3, 11-3, 11-2).

Natalie Madden made it an 8-0 Panther advantage with an 11-3, 11-5, 11-2 win over Liesl Guenther in the fourth position, while Beatrijs Kuijpers recorded an 11-2, 11-2, 11-5 win atop the ladder against Charlotte Zonis to round out the victory.
