Middlebury College women's lacrosse player Evie Keating (Hanover, N.H.) has been selected as the NESCAC Player of the Week. The senior defender helped the Panther defensive unit allow just four goals in two wings last week. Keating caused five turnovers and picked up five ground balls in a 15-3 win over St. Lawrence. She forced six turnovers and collected four ground balls in a 13-1 conference win against No. 18 Wesleyan. Her 24 caused turnovers and 25 ground balls both pace the NESCAC, as her 4.80 caused turnovers per game ranks sixth nationally.
Keating and her teammates, who ascended to the No. 2 spot in this week's national IWLCA poll, return to action on Saturday when they host No. 17 Bowdoin at 12:00 p.m.
