Women's Golf in Action at Jack Leaman Championship

The Middlebury women's golf team took part in the Jack Leaman Women's Championship hosted by Amherst at the Amherst Golf Club. The hosts took home the title with a two-day total of 634, followed by NYU (637), Williams (641) and the Panthers (663). Middlebury returns to action next weekend at the Williams Spring Invitational.

Just six strokes separated the entire group of Middlebury's scorers on Saturday and Sunday. Hope Matthews was the team's top finisher at the event, tying for 13th place with a two-day total of 164 (81-83). Just one stroke back was Blake Yaccino with a 165 (84-81), followed by Katharine Fortin's 166 (83-83). Chloe Levins came in with a 167 (86-81) for the Panthers, while Helen Dailey rounded out the squad with a 169 (86-83).

Also competing for Middlebury at the event were Erika Nakagawa with a 176 (87-89) and Sarah Breckinridge with a 188 (93-95).
