Panthers Finish Eighth at NCAA Championships

Middlebury concluded the 2018 NCAA Championships in eighth place among 23 scoring teams. Denver won the national title with 604 points, followed by Colorado (563) and Dartmouth (448.5). The Panthers tallied 248 total points over the four-day event, placing third among eastern schools.

The final day of competition at Mount Werner featured the women's 15K and men's 20K freestyle events. Katie Feldman was the team's top performer on Saturday afternoon, finishing the race in 13th place overall with a time of 45:58, third among eastern skiers. Cate Brams was next for the Panthers, covering the course with a time of 47:40. Rounding out the squad was Alexandra Lawson, who placed 29th with a time of 48:08 in the 40-woman race.

On the men's side, Adam Luban and Sam Wood finished in 15th (55:28) and 16th (55:29) places respectively, with just four eastern skiers ahead of them. Peter Wolter covered the 20K course with a time of 56:47, good for 25th place in the 40-man race.
