14 Panthers Collect USTFCCCA All-Region Track & Field Honors

The Middlebury track and field teams were well represented on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region squads. A total of 14 Panthers collected All-New England accolades when the national organization announced its award winners.

The top-five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each of the members of the region's top-three relay teams.

On the men's side, a total of 10 Panthers were honored. Junior Jimmy Martinez (Maplewood, N.J.) along with sophomore Nicholas Hendrix (East Molesey, U.K.) were recognized in two events each, while seniors Ascencion Aispuro (Maywood, Calif.), James Mulliken (Westport, Conn.), Michael Pallozzi (Sewell, N.J.) and Kevin Serrao (Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J.) were honored for one event. Joining them on the all-region teams are junior Minhaj Rahman (Woodhaven, N.Y.) along with sophomores Jonathan Fisher (Richmond, Vt.) and Nathan Hill (Hinsdale, Ill.) in addition to rookie Matt D'Aquila (Wynnewood, Pa.).

Martinez was named All-New England in both the 200-meter and 400-meter events, while Hendrix was honored in the 100-meter and 200-meter runs.

Aispuro tallied all-region accolades in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Mulliken in the 800-meter run, while Pallozzi was recognized for his efforts in the 110-meter hurdles. Rounding out the senior class was Serrao in the 1,500-meter run.

Rahman earned all-region honors in the hammer throw, while Fisher was recognized in the decathlon. Rounding out the men's honorees are Hill in the 1,500-meter run and D'Aquila in the 10,000-meter run.

For the women, senior Kate McCluskey (Westford, Mass.) led four Panthers with All-New England honors in three events. As an individual, she was recognized in the 200-meter and 400-meter events. McCluskey was also a part of the All-New England 4x400-meter relay team along with junior Lucy Lang (Lexington, Mass.) along with rookies Kate Holly (Glenview, Ill.) and Kai Milici (Seattle, Wash.).
