
Davis Oudet scored his first career goal in the second overtime, lifting Middlebury (3-2-1, 2-2-0) to a 2-1 victory at Hamilton (4-3-0, 2-2-0) on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers return to action on Saturday at Colby.
Hamilton took a 1-0 lead early in the second half when Jefri Schmidt scored on a set piece with an assist from Jeff Plump.
Middlebury earned the equalizer with 6:43 remaining on a corner kick. Raffi Barsamian served the ball to a pack of Panthers inside the box, before Henry Wilhelm was able to redirect it into the back of the net. The marker was Wilhelm's second of the season.
The game-winning tally came with just 1:37 left in the second overtime on a corner kick. Fazl Shaikh served the ball to the box, where Oudet scored on a header to the near corner of the net.
Matthew Hyer made a pair of saves in goal to earn the win, while Thomas Benson made four stops for Hamilton. Middlebury finished the game with a 21-12 shots advantage.
