Connecticut College's Matt Butera scored with just 24 seconds remaining, giving the Camels (2-0, 1-0) a 1-0 victory over Middlebury (0-1-1, 0-1-0) in the NESCAC opener for both teams. The Panthers return home next Saturday when they host Amherst at noon.

Conn. College held a 13-6 shots advantage and led 6-2 in penalty kicks through the first 45 minutes, with the game remaining a scoreless tie headed into the break.

The Camels finished the game with a 20-12 advantage in shots, as A.J. Marcucci made seven stops in goal for the hosts.
