  • O’Grady Tabbed NESCAC Player of the Week

    Middlebury College men’s soccer player Daniel O’Grady (New York, N.Y.) has been selected as the NESCAC Player of the Week. The senior midfielder recorded three goals and two assists in a 3-0 week for the Panthers. After earning a goal and an assist in road wins at Utica and Trinity, O’Grady assisted on the game-winner Sunday in a 1-0 home overtime victory against Wesleyan.
  • Wilhelm's OT Game Winner Lifts Panthers Past Cardinals

    Henry Wilhelm scored 8:19 into overtime, lifting Middlebury (7-2-3, 4-2-2) to a 1-0 victory over Wesleyan (3-9-0, 2-6-0) on South Street Field. The Panthers return to action on Wednesday night at Castleton, while the Cardinals will host Amherst on Friday evening.
  • Panthers Rally for 3-2 Victory at Trinity

    The Middlebury men’s soccer team scored three-straight goals in the first half, erasing an early deficit for a 3-2 NESCAC triumph Saturday at Trinity. The Panthers are unbeaten (4-0-2) in their last six games with five of those contests coming on the road. Middlebury (6-2-3, 3-2-2) has a quick turnaround, facing Wesleyan at home Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
  • Davis, Leech, Puccinelli Inducted Into Phi Beta Kappa

    Three Middlebury College senior student-athletes were elected to Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest honor society for the liberal arts and sciences in the United States. Men's soccer back Peter Davis (Oreland, Pa.), swimmer Brendan Leech (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and women's tennis player Christina Puccinelli (New York, N.Y.) were honored for their hard work in the classroom. The event was the 151st Phi Beta Kappa induction in Middlebury's history.
  • Middlebury Nets 6-0 Road Victory at Utica

    The Middlebury men’s soccer team extended its modest unbeaten streak to five-straight games, as the Panthers posted a 6-0 shutout victory Monday at Utica (4-8-1). Middlebury (5-2-3) returns to NESCAC action Saturday at 11:00 a.m. on the road against Trinity.
  • Men’s Soccer Battles #3 Tufts to 1-1 Draw

    Middlebury and Tufts each scored a goal in the opening half and went scoreless over the final 90 minutes as the teams finished their NESCAC match Saturday in a 1-1 tie. The Panthers (4-2-3, 2-2-2) return to action Monday with a 4:30 p.m. non-conference tilt at Utica, while the third-ranked Jumbos (9-0-1, 5-0-1) are home Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. against Babson.
  • Men’s Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

    The Middlebury men's soccer team has been honored for its work in the classroom with the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award. During the 2017-18 academic year, the Panthers posted a cumulative team grade point average of 3.63, tying Rollins College for the top GPA across the three NCAA divisions.  
  • Panthers Net Season-High Six Goals in Win at Maine-Farmington

    The Middlebury men’s soccer team recorded a season-high six goals, as the Panthers picked up a 6-0 non-conference victory Sunday at Maine-Farmington (3-6-0). Middlebury (4-2-2) returns to NESCAC play Saturday, hosting third-ranked Tufts at 1:30 p.m.
  • Men's Soccer Settles for 1-1 Draw at Colby

    After 110 minutes of soccer, Middlebury (3-2-2, 2-2-1) settled for a 1-1 tie at Colby (3-3-2, 1-2-2) on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers return to action with a contest at UMaine-Farmington on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
  • Men's Soccer Earns 2OT Win at Hamilton

    Davis Oudet scored his first career goal in the second overtime, lifting Middlebury (3-2-1, 2-2-0) to a 2-1 victory at Hamilton (4-3-0, 2-2-0) on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers return to action on Saturday at Colby.
  • Early Score Lifts Bowdoin Over Men’s Soccer

    Bowdoin’s Drake Byrd scored the match’s lone goal with just 11 under minutes elapsed, before holding off late charges by Middlebury during a 1-0 NESCAC win Saturday on South Street Field. The Panthers (2-2-1, 1-2-0) return to the field Sunday for a 1:30 p.m. start at Hamilton, while Bowdoin (3-3-0, 1-2-0) plays at Southern Maine on Wednesday evening.
  • Four First-Half Goals Lift Panthers to Road Win

    The Middlebury men’s soccer team scored four first-half goals en route to a 4-0 road win at Mount Saint Mary (4-4-0) on Tuesday night. The Panthers (2-1-1) return to action on Saturday when they host Bowdoin at noon.
  • Wilhelm Named NESCAC Player of the Week

    Middlebury College men’s soccer player Henry Wilhelm (Shaker Heights, Ohio) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week. In the only lone contest for the Panthers, the junior scored the match’s lone goal in the 72nd minute as Middlebury defeated 10th-ranked Amherst by a 1-0 score. The tally was also the first of Wilhelm’s career.
  • Late Goal Lifts Middlebury Past #10 Amherst, 1-0

    Middlebury’s Henry Wilhelm scored the game’s only goal in the latter stages of the second half, as the Panthers collected a 1-0 home NESCAC win Saturday over 10th-ranked Amherst. The victory was the first for new Middlebury head coach Alex Elias. The Panthers (1-1-1, 1-1-0) return to the field Tuesday at Mount St. Mary for a 7:00 p.m. start, while the Mammoths (2-1-0, 1-1-0) are home next Saturday against Williams.

  • Men's Soccer Falls on Late Goal

    Connecticut College’s Matt Butera scored with just 24 seconds remaining, giving the Camels (2-0, 1-0) a 1-0 victory over Middlebury (0-1-1, 0-1-0) in the NESCAC opener for both teams. The Panthers return home next Saturday when they host Amherst at noon.

    The Middlebury men’s soccer team outshot in-state foe Norwich by a 20-2 count on Tuesday, but was unable to find the back of the goal in a 0-0 draw during its season-opening match. The Panthers (0-0-1) begin NESCAC play on Saturday when they travel to Connecticut College at 2:00 p.m., while the Cadets (1-0-2) host Maine Maritime on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
  • 2018 Men's Soccer Season Preview

    A new era for the Middlebury men’s soccer program will start this season when Alex Elias ’08 assumes the head coaching position following the retirement of 33-year head coach David Saward. The 2017 squad went 12-7-0, falling by a single goal in both the NESCAC Championship and the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers return depth in all areas of the pitch, including eight of its nine players who tallied a point last fall.
  • Conrad Joins Men's Soccer Coaching Staff

    Middlebury College has announced the hiring of Greg Conrad ’17 as an assistant men’s soccer coach. He returns to Middlebury after playing professionally overseas, while spending time coaching youth teams in Iceland and Germany.
