Two members of the Middlebury College men's soccer team were honored when the United Soccer Coaches organization announced its All-New England Region teams. Junior Daniel O'Grady (New York, N.Y.) picked up his second-straight all-region accolade with a spot on the second team, while sophomore Drew Goulart (Weston, Mass.) also earned a place on the second team. The duo helped lead the team to a 12-7 mark, a spot in the NESCAC Tournament title match and an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
A three-time Second-Team All-NESCAC selection, O'Grady moved up to the second team regional squad following a third-team nod in 2016. The three-year starter scored two goals to go along with an assist for five points this season. O'Grady tallied a game-winning overtime score in Middlebury's 2-1 road victory at Colby-Sawyer on September 10. He has tallied 11 career goals and 12 assists for 34 points in 48 matches played.
Goulart, a Second-Team All-NESCAC selection this fall, is a two-year starter up front for the Panthers. He led the Middlebury offense in 2017 with team-high totals in points (14), goals (5) and assists (4). Goulart scored the game-winning tallies in 1-0 decisions over Castleton, Williams and in the NESCAC Semifinal versus Bowdoin. The second-year Panther has nine career goals and 10 assists for 28 points in 35 matches.
