A pair of Middlebury men's golfers will represent the team at the 2018 NESCAC Championship on Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29 at Indian Hill Country Club in Newington, Connecticut. Senior Bennett Doherty (Bedford, N.H.) and sophomore Jeffrey Giguere (Providence, R.I.) earned a spot in the championship as individuals based on their performances at last fall's NESCAC Qualifier. The duo posted two of the top-four individual scores outside of the four qualifying teams to become eligible to participate. Giguere (76-71) tied for third with a score of 147 on the individual leaderboard and Doherty posted rounds of 82-74 (156) to finish in a tie for 14th at the qualifier.
Amherst, Trinity, Tufts and Williams will vie for the team crown during the two-day, 36-hole tournament. Competition will begin at 11:00 a.m. on both days.
