Babson captured the 34th Annual Duke Nelson Tournament hosted by Middlebury College. The Beavers shot a 283 on day two, finishing with a 572, one stroke ahead of Western New England (573). Trinity (577), Williams (582) and Tufts (595) rounded out the top five teams. The Panther blue and white teams both shot 601 to tie for ninth place overall. Action took place at the par-71 Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the Middlebury campus. Middlebury returns to action next weekend at the Williams Fall Invitational.
Lane Bohman of Babson took home medalist honors, shooting a pair of one-under-par 70s to finish with a 140.
Middlebury was led by Joe Ko, who placed third overall with a two-day total of 143 (71-72). Jordan Bessalel (76-72) and John Mikus (74-74) both shot a two-day total of 148 to tie for 26th place overall. Next for the Panthers was John Stenovec, who shot a 150 (72-78), followed by David Packer, who turned in a 157 (77-80).
