The Middlebury men's golf team opened up its spring season by taking part in the Kravetz Invitational at both the Irondequiot Country Club and the Oak Hill Country Club. The event was hosted by the University of Rochester. The Panthers came in with a two-day total of 637 (327-310) to place fifth among six teams at the event. McDaniel won the tournament via a tie-breaker with a 617, topping Franklin & Marshall.
Leading the team were Philippe Morin and Rodrigo Andrade, who both shot two-day totals of 155 to tie for eighth place. Morin's 74 on Sunday was the team's best round of the weekend, while Andrade carded on a 76 on the same day. Reid Buzby was next for Middlebury with a 159 (82-77), followed by David McDaniel's 168 (85-83). Jeffrey Giguere shot an 88 on Friday, but did not compete on Saturday.
