    The Middlebury men’s basketball team improved to 14-3 overall with an 87-62 win at Pine Manor (7-9) on Sunday afternoon. The 16th-ranked Panthers are off until next Sunday when they visit Trinity for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off.

    Middlebury utilized a 20-9 second-half run over a span of 6:56 and held off a late charge for a 70-66 NESCAC win over #11 Williams on Saturday in Pepin Gym. The 16th-ranked Panthers (13-3, 4-1) return to action tomorrow when they travel to Pine Manor at 2:00 p.m., while the Ephs (13-4, 3-2) host St. Joseph’s (Vt.) on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
  • #16 Middlebury Edges Albertus Magnus In Overtime

    The Middlebury men’s basketball team scored six of the final eight points in overtime, earning a 77-73 victory on Tuesday over Albertus Magnus in Pepin Gym. The 16th-ranked Panthers (12-3) wrap up their five-game homestand with a Saturday NESCAC matchup against #11 Williams at 3:00 p.m., while the Falcons (9-4) travel to Mount Ida on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
  • Daly Named NESCAC Player of the Week

    Middlebury College men's basketball player Jack Daly (Eastchester, N.Y.) has been selected as the NESCAC Player of the Week for the second time this season. The senior guard averaged 15.7 points, 9.3 assists and 7.7 rebounds per game in a 3-0 week for the Panthers. He dished out a career-high 14 assists in a win over Morrisville State, while scoring a career-best 26 points during a victory against Bates, to go along with nine rebounds and eight assists. Daly added 16 points, going 8-9 from the foul line, seven rebounds and six helpers in a triumph over Tufts. He currently leads all of Division III with 8.8 assists per game.

    A 14-0 run spanning 7:07 in the second half propelled 16th-ranked Middlebury (11-3, 3-1) to a 78-63 NESCAC victory Saturday over Tufts in Pepin Gym. The Panthers play the third contest of their current five-game homestand with a Tuesday matchup against Albertus Magnus at 7:00 p.m., while the Jumbos (12-4, 3-1) host Bates next Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

The Panthers continue league play on Saturday when they host Tufts at 3:00 p.m., while the Bobcats (8-7, 1-2) visit #4 Williams at the same time.

    Jack Daly added to his nation’s-best 9.1 assists/game by dishing out a career-high 14, as fourth-ranked Middlebury (9-3) downed Morrisville State 85-64 in Pepin Gym. The Panthers return to NESCAC play on Friday night when they host Bates at 7:00 p.m., while the Mustangs (5-6) visit Keuka on Wednesday.
  • #4 Men’s Basketball Falls at #14 Wesleyan in NESCAC Play

    The Middlebury men's basketball team fell by an 80-70 score on Saturday afternoon at #14 Wesleyan (10-2, 1-1) in Silloway Gym. The fourth-ranked Panthers (8-3, 1-1) pulled to within three in the final minute, but the Cardinals knocked down their free throws to seal the win. The Panthers return to action on Monday with a 5:00 p.m. home tip-off against Morrisville State.

    The Middlebury men’s basketball team opened up NESCAC play on Friday evening with an 82-60 road win at Connecticut College (5-7, 0-1) in the Charles B. Luce Field House. The fourth-ranked Panthers (8-2, 1-0) rattled off a decisive 13-0 run in the first half during the win. Middlebury returns to action on Saturday when it plays at 14th-ranked Wesleyan starting at 3:00 p.m.

    A 17-2 run by visiting Swarthmore over a span of 6:29 in the first half propelled the 12th-ranked Garnet past #4 Middlebury by a 91-75 score on Tuesday in Pepin Gym. The fourth-ranked Panthers (7-2) return to action on Friday night when they begin NESCAC play at Connecticut College starting at 7:00 p.m., while Swarthmore (10-1) hosts Gettysburg on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

    A 14-0 run over a span of 4:36 in the second half propelled Middlebury to an 81-58 victory on Saturday over Clarks Summit (1-9) in the consolation game of the Washington & Lee Holiday Tournament in Virginia. The second-ranked Panthers (7-1) return to action on Tuesday when they host #15 Swarthmore at 6:00 p.m.
  • Second-Ranked Panthers Fall in Overtime to #25 York (Pa.)
    December 29, 2017
    A furious comeback attempt by the Middlebury men’s basketball team in overtime came up just short, as #25 York (Pa.) prevailed 90-87 during the Washington & Lee Holiday Tournament in the Warner Center. The second-ranked Panthers (6-1) return to action on Saturday afternoon in the consolation game at 2:00 p.m. when they face Clarks Summit, a 105-78 loser in the day’s first contest to the host Generals. The Spartans (10-0) square off with Washington & Lee at 4:00 p.m. in the tournament’s championship matchup. Friday’s game was Middlebury's first contest after 21 days off for the semester break.
  • #2 Middlebury Pulls Away From #16 Skidmore

    The Middlebury men’s basketball team utilized a 13-0 run during the second half en route to a 91-76 victory at 16th-ranked Skidmore (6-1). The Panthers conclude their first-semester schedule with a 6-0 record. Middlebury is idle until Friday, December 29, when it faces York at the Washington & Lee Tournament.

    Second-ranked Middlebury went on a 21-3 run early in the second half, pulling away from Plattsburgh in a 92-68 win over the Cardinals (3-2) in Pepin Gym. The Panthers (5-0) return to action on Friday night at #16 Skidmore, while Plattsburgh visits Brockport.

    Middlebury College men's basketball player Jack Daly (Eastchester, N.Y.) has been selected as the NESCAC Player of the Week. The senior guard nearly averaged a triple-double with 21.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists per game in a 2-0 week for the Panthers. He scored 24 points and had three steals to go along with a career-high 16 rebounds in a win at Johnson State on Tuesday. Daly was one assist and one rebound shy of his second triple-double of the season in Sunday's win over Endicott, finishing with 19 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.
  • Late First-Half Run Lifts Men's Basketball Past Endicott

    Middlebury went on an 11-0 run to close the first half, and held off a late charge by Endicott (2-1) on its way to a 78-67 road victory on Sunday afternoon in MacDonald Gymnasium. The eighth-ranked Panthers (4-0) have more than a week off before returning to action on Tuesday, December 5 when they host Plattsburgh State at 7:30 p.m.
  • Panthers Hold Off Late Comeback Attempt In Win at Johnson State

    The Middlebury men’s basketball team fought off a late comeback attempt by Johnson State, earning an 84-77 victory over the Badgers (1-2) on Tuesday in Carter Gym. Playing their third game in five days, the eighth-ranked Panthers (3-0) return to action on Sunday with a 2:00 p.m. contest at Endicott.
  • Men’s Basketball Claims Own Tournament Title

    The Middlebury men’s basketball team capped off a perfect opening weekend, winning 74-58 over Wentworth (2-1) in the championship game of the Middlebury Tournament. The eighth-ranked Panthers (2-0) take to the road for the first time this season with a Tuesday contest at Johnson State beginning at 7:30 p.m.
  • Daly Records Triple-Double in Win Over Fitchburg State
    November 17, 2017
    The Middlebury men’s basketball team opened the 2017-18 season with a convincing 111-72 victory over Fitchburg State (0-1), highlighted by a triple-double from Jack Daly, while hosting the Middlebury Tournament in Pepin Gymnasium. The eighth-ranked Panthers return to action on Saturday afternoon when they face Wentworth, a 72-67 victor over New England College, at 3:00 p.m. in the championship game. Fitchburg State and New England College will play at 1:00 p.m. in the consolation game.

    The 2017-18 version of the Middlebury men’s basketball team is a talented group laden with depth in every facet. Over the past 10 seasons, the program has racked up 226 victories against 57 losses for a .799 winning percentage and three appearances in the NCAA Quarterfinals. Looking to continue their winning ways despite the loss of four seniors, the team has its sights on contending for its third-straight NESCAC Championship, as well as another NCAA Tournament run.
