Middlebury men's basketball player Matt St. Amour (Swanton, Vt.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week. The senior had a big week for the Panthers, averaging 29.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in wins over Amherst and Trinity. He shot 58.8 percent from the floor and from three-point range, connecting on 10-17 from beyond the arc. St. Amour also moved into fourth place all-time in the program's history at Middlebury with 1,515 points.
Late last week, he was named a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) District I First-Team Academic All-District selection by the organization. He and his teammates will host Bates on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in a NESCAC Quarterfinal game.
