  • Football Drops Opener at Wesleyan

    Middlebury jumped out to a 7-0 lead, but it was all Wesleyan after that, as the Panthers fell 52-21 on the road in the season opener for both teams. Middlebury will play its home-opener next weekend when they entertain Bowdoin at 1:00 p.m.
  • 2018 Football Season Preview

    The Panther football team is optimistic entering the 2018 season, with 10 starting returners on offense as well as more than half of its starting defenders. Middlebury finished 7-2 a year ago during its first nine-game season in 100 years, placing second in the NESCAC. The Panthers paced the league in total offense (419.1 yards) and were second in points/game (32.6), while the defense led the NESCAC with 31 sacks and 10 fumble recoveries. The team outscored its opponents 293–190 over its nine-game schedule.
