Physical Education

The Department of Physical Education offers a variety of programs reflecting the College’s commitment to the ideals of a liberal arts education. Our goal is to contribute to the physical, social, mental, and emotional well-being of students, enriching their holistic learning experiences and building lifelong habits of good health.

Courses offered range from traditional sports such as tennis and golf, to classes that take advantage of the Vermont landscape such as Nordic and alpine skiing, snow shoeing and fly fishing. Classes such as yoga, meditation, massage, kick boxing, martial arts, First Aid/CPR, and spinning are taught by professional instructors and require an additional fee. Approximately 75 courses are scheduled over five sessions each academic year.

Students are required to obtain two Physical Education credits to fulfill graduation requirements.
