  • Middlebury Wins Prestigious Directors' Cup

    For the first time in school history, Middlebury College has won the Directors’ Cup. The competition is sponsored by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and Learfield Sports, in NCAA Divisions I, II and III and in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). 
  • Spring NESCAC Academic Team Released

    The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) has announced its 2012 Spring All-Academic Selections. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.

  • Spring Sportsmanship Team Announced

    The New England Small College Athletic Conference announced its Spring All-Sportsmanship Team for each winter sport sponsored by the conference. The All-Sportsmanship Team is composed of one student-athlete from each institution for each sport and is selected by the players and coaches from their respective team for their positive contributions to sportsmanship. 
  • Special Sundays

    Sunday afternoons can be quiet times at Middlebury, especially on the basketball court inside Pepin Gymnasium. But for a few Sundays during the winter, the court, home to the then top-ranked men’s basketball team, hosted a grand collection of students and community members with their own brand of hoops. Dozens of students morphed into coaches and supporters of a new group of athletes—members of the Special Olympics of Addison County.

    It's been another solid start to the winter season for Middlebury College Athletic teams. The Panthers boast the top-ranked men's basketball team in the country with a record of 7-0 and the fourth-ranked women's hockey team at 5-0-2.

A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution.

  • Rolling Out The Green Carpet

    This summer Middlebury will replace Kohn Field, but the 95,000 square feet of astroturf that covered the field will find new life as it is parceled out for miniature golf courses and other recreational facilities. A big piece of the carpet–nearly 20% –will stay right in Middlebury as a gift to the town’s rec. center. The new Kohn Field will be no ordinary turf. WATCH VIDEO
