The Middlebury College squash center officially opened on October 26th, 2013. The 18,000-square-foot building replaces the five courts formerly located in the now-defunct Bubble and gives the college community a modern structure dedicated to the sport. It is expected to qualify for LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
Connected to the southeast end of the Peterson Family Athletic Complex, the nine squash courts are arranged around a central corridor covered by a skylight to allow filtered, natural light into the space and provide the building with a distinctive architectural element.
A beautiful tile lobby provides an entrance to the athletics complex as well as a great view of Kohn Field.
