Kohn Field is a state-of-the art field hockey and lacrosse facility that opened in the spring of 2000. The field was named in honor of the late Peter Kohn, a friend of Middlebury College since he arrived on campus in 1980.
The 240' by 360' all-weather surface affords teams use of an outdoor facility during inclement weather and during the early spring when the ground may be snow covered. The field was fully renovated in the summer of 2011, with a brand-new padded surface. Lights were also added to the facility, allowing for less missed class time with evening practices and the occasional night game. Also added was a state-of-the-art watering system, creating the optimal conditions for field hockey games.
